Operation 1 2 Before Starting Engine MIXING GASOLINE / 2-CYCLE OIL Starting Engine WARNING: Ensure that the four handle retaining pins are fully engaged into the Powerhead frame and that the handle bars are secure to the Powerhead frame. WARNING: Do not smoke or allow smoking near fuel or the Earth Auger. Mix and pour fuel outdoors WHERE THERE ARE NO SPARKS OR FLAMES. WARNING: Check that all guards and fasteners are in place and secure.
Operation (continued) □ Move the On/Off Ignition Switch to the "ON" position. WARNING: Keep all parts of your body away from cutting area, the rotating Earth Auger Bit and blades, and hot surfaces. NOTICE: Follow the instruction in the Starting Position section above for the safe auger position during and after starting the engine.
Routine Maintenance 1 2 Air Filter Spark Plug Inspect the Spark Plug after every 10-15 hours of use; adjust Spark Plug gap and replace Spark Plug as necessary. Replace Spark Plug every year to maintain engine performance and easy starting. To inspect or replace the Spark Plug: WARNING: Disconnect the spark plug before performing maintenance. Your Auger has been equipped with two air filters inside the housing.
Routine Maintenance (continued) 4 (1) clockwise to increase idle speed. Carburetor Idle Adjustment (1) counterclockwise to decrease idle speed. ENGINE BREAK-IN New engines must be operated a minimum duration of two tanks of fuel break-in before carburetor adjustments can be made. During the break-in period your engine performance will increase and exhaust emissions will stabilize. Idle speed can be adjusted as required.

Puesta en marcha y funcionamiento 1 □ Mover la ahoyadora al menos 3 metros (10 pies) del sitio de abastecimiento de combustible antes de arrancar el motor. Esta técnica mantendrá el orificio libre de suelo mullido y evitará bloquear la ahoyadora en el suelo. Además, esta técnica reducirá el tiempo requerido para taladrar un orificio y evitará sobrecargar el mtor.
Mantenimiento de rutina (continuación) 4 □ Utilizando las herramientas adecuadas, desmonte la bujía girando en sentido antihorario. □ Limpiar y ajustar la brecha de la bujía a un valor de 0.024 a 0.028 pulgadas. (0.6 a 0.7 mm) ROBO DEL MOTOR Los motores nuevos deben funcionar con una duración mínima de dos tanques de rodaje de combustible antes de que se puedan hacer los ajustes del carburador. Durante el período de rodaje, el rendimiento de su motor aumentará y las emisiones de escape se estabilizarán.
