SPECIFICATIONS

Stations: Suite stations shall be LEE DAN

model IR-081x (x=B, C, or D) or

approved equal and shall be large enough to cover the area occupied by the

previous intercom. Momentary action pushbuttons shall be provided for

TALK, LISTEN, and DOOR operations. The speaker/microphone shall be a

3 1/2", 45 Ohm, 1 Watt, heavy duty magnet, high sensitivity type with voice-

frequency response. Speaker and buttons shall be field serviceable. Glued-in-

place components will not be acceptable.

Amplifier: Intercom amplifier shall be LEE DAN

model PK-543A, or

approved equal. Amplifier shall be powered by a LEE DAN

model PS-30A

transformer (16VAC/30VA), or approved equal which shall be UL listed.

“Quantum” Lobby Panel (option 1 of 3): Intercom panel shall be a LEE DAN

vandal-proof Quantum

series or approved equal. Panel shall be constructed

of 16 gauge low-carbon Stainless Steel. Pushbuttons shall be heavy 6 amp

rated, chrome plated, solid brass, round metal buttons. Pushbutton connections

must be made by positive screw terminals by circuit board. Pigtail connections

will not be acceptable. Apartment numbers shall be permanently engraved

directly on the surface of the panel. Building address shall be

permanently engraved at the top of the lobby panel.

Speaker shall be 3.5", 1 Watt, 45 Ohm with mylar cone. Paper

cone speakers are not acceptable. Speaker shall be protected by

a three (3) layer metal speaker baffle. Intercom panel shall

include an integral alphabetical directory protected by Lexan

sheet. Speaker, pushbuttons and directory components shall all

be field replaceable. Glued in place components are not accept-

able. Mounting screws shall be tamper resistant Tampruf type.

A LEE DAN

model SC-T Tampruf type screw driver shall be

provided with each lobby panel for directory maintenance.

“Van-Guard” Lobby Panel (option 2 of 3): Intercom panel shall be a LEE DAN

vandal resistant Van-Guard

series or approved equal. Panel shall be

constructed of heavy extruded aluminum with permanently engraved solid

aluminum black anodized plungers. Pushbuttons shall be self-wiping type with

positive screw terminals. Pigtail connections will not be accept-

able. Pushbuttons shall be mounted on a sub-plate mounted

behind the extruded aluminum module(s). Pushbuttons shall be

activated by pressing the solid metal plungers.

Speaker shall be 3.5", 1 Watt, 45 Ohm with mylar cone. Paper

cone speakers are not acceptable. Speaker shall be protected

by a double metal speaker baffle. Intercom panel shall include

an integral alphabetical directory protected by Lexan

sheet.

model SC-1 Scrulox type

APPLICATION

IR-081 is an economical series of oversized apartment intercom stations

available in 3-wire (IR-081D), 4-wire (IR-081C) and 5-wire (IR-081B)

versions.

White powdercoared steel plates with beveled edges provide sturdy

construction with good looks.

See other same sized stations in stainless steel above. All are available

with 3, 4 or 5-wire circuitry.

“Style E” Lobby Panel (option 3 of 3): Intercom panel shall be a LEE DAN

economy Style “E”

series or approved equal. Panel shall be constructed

of extruded aluminum with permanently engraved number strips. Panel

styles without engraved apartment numbers shall not be acceptable.

Pushbuttons shall be self-wiping type with positive screw

terminals. Pigtail connections will not be acceptable.

Speaker shall be 3.5", 1 Watt, 45 Ohm with mylar cone. Paper

cone speakers are not acceptable. Speaker shall be protected

by an ABS plastic speaker grille. Intercom panel shall include

metal nameholders for tenant identification. Plastic nameholders

shall not be acceptable. Speaker, pushbuttons and grille com-

ponents shall all be field replaceable. Glued in place compo-

nents are not acceptable. Mounting screws shall be tamper resistant Scrulox

type. A LEE DAN

model SC-1 Scrulox type screw driver shall be provided

with each lobby panel for maintenance.
