MIXTRIM and MIXMODE
Since this is a dual receiver that can be used with cam-
erasthatofferonlyasingleinputintheslot,specialop-
tions are available to allow the audio from the receivers
tobemixedtoeitheroneorbothaudiooutputchannels.
The MIXMODE setting determines which audio signal
appearsatwhichoutputchannel:
• MIXBOTH mixes the audio and delivers the mix to
bothoutputchannels.
• MIXTO 1 mixes the audio and delivers the mix to
outputchannel1.
• MIXTO 2 mixes the audio and delivers the mix to
outputchannel2.
• DIRECTkeepstheaudioseparatedanddelivers
receiver1audiotooutputchannel1,andreceiver2
audiotooutputchannel2.
The MIXTRIMsettingappliesattenuationupto20dBin
1dBstepstoadjusttheratioofthetwoaudiosignalsin
themix.Thisadjustmenttakeseffectonlywhenamix
mode is Selected (it is ignored when the mix mode is
settoDIRECT).
IMPORTANT:TheLEVELsettingintheother
setupscreen(seepreviouspage)ishardware-
basedandaffectstheoutputlevelregardless
ofwhichmixmodeisselected.MIXTRIMthen
appliesattenuationtothatlevelsettingresultingin
thenalleveldeliveredtotheoutputchannel.Itis
goodpracticetosettheLEVELofbothreceivers
to the same value when using a mix mode.
WhenaMIXMODEisSelected,eachaudiosignalisau-
tomaticallyattenuatedby6dBpriortothemixing.This
isdonetoavoidoverloadandpotentialdistortionsince
mixingincreasesthelevelby6dB.Thesameinputgain
on the camera or mixer can generally be used regard-
less of whether or not a mix mode is being used in the
receiver.
TONE
The TONEsetupscreenenablesanaudiotesttoneat
thereceiveroutputforpreciselevelmatchingwithother
equipment.Therstscreenpromptsyoutopressthe
UPorDOWNbuttontoenablethetoneatthereceiver
output.
Therstscreenpromptsyou
topresstheUPorDOWN
button to start the tone.

Oncethebuttonispressed,a1kHztoneisenabled,
anditslevelcanbeadjustedwithadditionalpresseson
theUPorDOWNbuttons.
Thelevelsetherewillberetainedintheregularoper-
atingmode(itwillsupersedethesettingmadeinthe
LEVELsetupscreen).Thetesttonehas1%distortion
andisintendedforconrmationofoutputlevelsonly.
Toexitthetesttonescreenandstopthetonepressthe
BACKbutton.
Front Panel Shortcuts
Aconvenientshortcutisavailablefromanysetup
screenthatdisplaysthereceiverselectionoption
(switchingdiversitymodewithtwoseparatereceivers).
Oncethevaluehasbeensetononereceiver,thesame
valuecanbecopiedtotheotherreceiverwithasimple
buttonpushcombination.
Forexample,intheSetupLevelsscreen,holdingthe
MENUbuttonandpressingtheUParrowwillcopythe
valuefromReceiver2toReceiver1.Thearrowkey
determinesthe“destination”ofthevaluesetting.UP
setsthevalueonReceiver1,andDOWNsetsthevalue
onReceiver2.

Locking and Unlocking the
Front Panel Controls
Thefrontpanelcontrolscanbe“LOCKED”toprevent
accidentalchangesbeingmadeduringoperationand
handling.
Note:Whetherlockedorunlocked,thesetting
persistswhentheunitisoffandevenwhenthe
poweristurnedoff.
FromtheMainWindow,pressandholdtheUPand
DOWNarrowsatthesametimeandobservethe
display.ThecurrentstateisdisplayedasLOCKEDor
UNLOCKED,andnumeralsappearasa“3,2,1”count-
downtakesplace.Whenthecountdowniscomplete
thestateisreversedandthenewstateisdisplayedas
LOCKEDorUNLOCKED.
LCD Backlight Setup
HoldtheUParrowandturnonthepower.Theunitwill
bootupthendisplaytheBacklightOptionsscreen.Use
theUPandDOWNarrowstoselectthedesiredback-
lightoperatingmode.
