Loading Music into Your Blackbird
How to Update the New Software and Map Database
You can store up to 1GB of MP3 or WMA files giving you over 16 hours
of music*. Your music can be arranged in sub-folders for easy retrieval
when using your Blackbird device.
*MP3 files recorded at 128kbps. Blackbird only currently supports MP3 and WMA files
without DRM.
Plug Blackbird’s AC Adapter into a power outlet. Connect the AC
Adapter to Blackbird’s cradle connector.
Connect the USB cable to your PC and then to Blackbird.
Your PC will detect Blackbird as a removable storage device. Find
the appropriate drive letter, open it, and copy songs over to the
Blackbird. When you remove the USB cable and access the music
player, the music will be available for you to select.
Using your home PC, Blackbird can be updated with the latest mapping
and Point of Interest information. Please refer to instructions included
with the update software on how to upgrade your Blackbird system.
