PING is a very useful MS-DOS command to
check if Network Camera is still responding
or if an IP address is available.
1. Click on ¡Start¡ ¡ Run¡ and type
Cmd and press ENTER.
2. In the MS-DOS window, type Ping
192.168.0.100
3. For example, if your Network Camera
uses the IP address of 192.168.0.100,
you would type in: Ping 192.168.0.100 and press Enter.
If Network Camera online and using this address you will see:
Pinging 192.168.0.100 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 192.168.0.100: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64
Reply from 192.168.0.100: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64
Reply from 192.168.0.100: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64
Reply from 192.168.0.100: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64
Ping statistics for 192.168.0.100:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip

If there is NO response on the address, you¡ll see the following:
