Error Messages
If there is an error, the ERR LED will light up, and the Mode Indicator
Panel will display an error code.
Please use the error message descriptions on this page to resolve
any issues.
RUN ERR INK BAT PWR
Error codes Description
Error 0 Cannot detect Micro
SD card
Check if a micro SD card is present in the SD card slot, or if one has been
installed incorrectly.
Correctly insert a micro SD card.

Error 1 Other Micro SD Card
error
Check if the printer can read the micro SD card.
Please reinstall the Micro SD card.
(Please see P9. Micro SD Card Check)
Error 2 Icode Verification
Failure
Check if an ink cartridge is present or if one has been properly installed.
Please install an ink cartridge or reinstall the ink cartridge.

Check if the ink cartridge is a genuine HP cartridge.
Please use a genuine HP cartridge.

Check if the battery is low.
Please charge the rechargeable batteries using either the provided battery
charger or the provided AC power adapter.

Battery)
Error 3 FRAM error
Check if the battery is low.
Please charge the rechargeable batteries using either the provided battery
charger or the provided AC power adapter.

Battery)
If the error message cannot be resolved when the batteries are fully
charged, please consult the distributor.
Error 4 Connection error
Check if you are using the USB cable provided with the printer.
Please use the USB cable from the original package.

Error 5 RTC error
This may be caused by a low internal battery level.
Please contact the distributor to resolve the error.
Error 6 Other hardware error
This may be the result of internal hardware damage.
Please contact the distributor to resolve this error.
