CH1. BEFORE GETTING STARTED Your tablet is a highly sophisticated electronic device. Please read this manual before using your tablet, battery, charger or any accessory. Care and Maintenance: Keep your tablet and all its parts out of the reach of young children. Keep your tablet dry. Avoid exposing your tablet to extreme hot or cold temperatures. Avoid placing your tablet close to lit cigarettes, naked flames or any heat source. Do not attempt to disassemble your tablet.

Your tablet includes a 2GB micro SD card. If more storage is needed, you may install a new micro SD card, up to 32GB. Install Micro SD Card: 1. 2. 3. 4.
Battery Your tablet has an internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The battery should only be replaced with original manufacturer batteries and accessories. Warning! To reduce the risk of fire or burns: Do not crush, puncture, short external contacts, or dispose of battery in fire or water. Do not expose to temperatures above 60°C (140°F). Replace only with the battery pack designated for this product. Recycle or dispose of used battery as stipulated by local regulations.
Headphone Jack For listening to music and videos in private, your tablet has a headphone jack, also known as an earphone jack. To activate private listening on your tablet, insert the headset into the audio jack. Tablet Controls Hard Keys Touch the control keys on the right side panel of your tablet to do the followings: Key Icons Function Touch to go back to the previous screen, or to close a dialog box, options menu, or close the RETURN notifications panels.
GETTING AROUND YOUR TABLET There are different ways to navigate around the home screen, menus and applications on your tablet. You can also change the screen orientation of the tablet as well. Touch To type using the on-screen keyboard, or select items, applications, and settings, touch the item with your finger Touch and Hold To open an item (i.e.
Manually Adjust Date, Time Zone, and Time: Set Time Dialogue 1. Press Home 2. 3. Scroll down the screen, then touch Date & time Clear the Automatic check box. 4. Touch Set date. On the Change date window, touch or to adjust the date, month, year, and then touch Set when finished. Touch Set time zone, and then select the time zone in the list. Scroll down the list to view more time zones. Touch Set time. On the time window, touch AM to change to PM or vice versa. Touch Set when finished.
Set Automatic Screen Rotation: By default, the screen rotates automatically depending on how you hold the tablet. To prevent auto rotate: 1. Press Home , press Menu , and then touch Settings . 2. 3. Touch Display . Scroll down the screen, and then clear the Auto-rotate screen check box. **Tip: To quickly set Auto-rotate screen function, you can also switch the HOLD key to un-hold status.
Syncing Your Data Sync with Google Service via the Internet: 1. Press Home , press Menu , and then touch Settings . 2. 3. Touch Accounts & sync > select Background data and Auto-sync. Sign in to your Google account to sync with your Google service. Sync with a PC: You can sync your contact information through the supplied PC sync tool and USB cable. To sync: 1. Install the PC sync tool driver before using the sync tool. 2. Connect the USB into the PC and your tablet. 3.

Select preferred lock method from None, Pattern, PIN, Password options. Back Up Your Data You can back up your data and restore it to the original setting in the Privacy settings. Uninstall Applications: 1. 2. 3. Uninstall Applications Press Home , press Menu , and then touch Settings > Applications > Manage applications. On the Manage applications screen, touch the application you want to uninstall. On the Application info screen, touch Uninstall. **Note: Applications that are pre-installed on the tablet cannot be uninstalled.
CH4. GETTING STARTED Unlock Icon Turning Your Tablet On / Off Turn On the Tablet: Press the POWER key on the top right side of the tablet. Turn Off the Tablet: 1. 2. Press and hold the POWER key until the options menu opens. On the options menu, touch the Power Off button to turn off the tablet. Starting Using Your Tablet After you get into the welcome page, touch and hold the UNLOCK icon and slide up to the top to unclock your tablet.
Extended Home Screen Switch between the Extended Home Screens: 1. 2. 3. Touch and hold the Applications . A screen with a small quick-view of each extended Home screen should pop-up. Select the extended Home screen you would like to switch to. Customizing the Home Screen Home Screen Items: Shortcuts. While on the Home screen, touch and hold an empty area till home screen items window appear and select Wallpapers. Touch Gallery, Live wallpapers or Wallpaper. Touch Gallery to use a picture you captured using the camera or copied to your tablet as wallpaper.
Status and Notifications Status Bar At the top of the tablet screen is the status bar. The left side of the status bar displays notification icons while the right side of the status bar displays the tablet status. The bar can be pulled down to show micro SD, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth information or notifications. Pull-down Status Bar To go back, press the RETURN key to return the home screen.

Settings Control and customize tablet settings on the Settings screen. Adjusting the Volume Adjusting the volume changes the volume level of sound notifications and music or video playback. Adjust the volume by pressing the volume key on the tablet, or adjust the volume from the screen.

USB Connection Dialogue Set micro SD Card as USB Drive: 1. 2. Connect the tablet to the computer using the USB cable. A notification icon will appear in the status bar. PC and tablet will then be automatically connected.
Open Contact Details: Touch the contact name in the contacts list to read the contact’s detail information. Adding Contacts 1. 2. In the contacts list, press Menu , then touch New contact. Enter the contact’s name and other contact information such as phone number, email address, home address, etc. Slide your finger up or down to see more labels to add. 3. When finished, Menu and then touch Done.

MESSAGING Email Your tablet comes with an email wizard that lets you add external POP3 or IMAP email accounts from popular web-based email service providers such as Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo!® Mail Plus, AOL, and more. Set Up Email: Home , then touch Email located on the soft key panel. Add an Email Account: 1. 2. 3. Press Home , then touch Email . In the Your accounts screen, touch Next. Enter the email address and password of the email account you want to set up and then touch Next.
Delete an Email: 1. 2. In the email account inbox, touch and hold the email you want to delete. On the options menu, touch Delete. Edit or Delete an External Email Account: 1. 2. Press Home , then touch Email . Do one of the followings: To delete, touch and hold the account you want to remove, and then touch Remove account on the options menu. When prompted to confirm deletion, touch OK. To edit, touch and hold the account you want to edit, and then touch Account settings on the options menu.
CH6. CONNECTING Connecting to the Internet Your tablet’s networking capabilities allow you to access the Internet through Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi To use the Wi-Fi function, you would need to access a wireless access point or hotspot. Turn on Wi-Fi and Connect to an Access Point: 1. Press Home 2. Touch Wireless & networks , and then select the Wi-Fi check box to turn on Wi-Fi in the Wi-Fi Settings. When on, the Wi-Fi icon appear in the status bar.
Check Network Status: 1. Press Home , press Menu , and then touch Settings . 2. 3. Touch Wireless & networks , go to Wi-Fi Settings and touch the specific access point you have linked. The status of network will be displayed. Viewing Web Pages Your tablet’s browser offers a host of features that let you view web pages just like on a desktop computer. Change the Screen Orientation to Landscape View: Turn your tablet sideways to view the web page in landscape mode.
Navigate on a Web Page: Slide your finger on the screen in any direction to navigate and view other areas of the web page. Zoom In or Out of a Web Page: 1. On a web page, touch and hold the webpage to activate the zoom control. 2. You may zoom in/out through the zoom in/out tab or use two fingers to zoom in/out. shown on the right corner by sliding down the center down side to activate, Set a Home Page: 1. 2. Press Menu and then touch More > Settings > Set home page.
Copy Text on a Web Page: 1. Open the web page where you want to copy text. 2. Locate the text you want to copy and then press Menu and then touch More > Select text. **Tip: Zoom out of the page before you select text. Position your finger at the start of the text you want to copy and then drag to the end of the text you want to copy. Copied text is highlighted. Release your finger from the screen.
**Warning! Applications downloaded from the web may be from unknown sources. To protect your tablet and personal data, download applications only from trusted sources. Manage Bookmarks Your tablet allows you to store as many bookmarks as you want. Two different views are supported: Thumbnail & List view. Bookmarks can also be copied from a Chrome browser on your PC to your tablet. This add-on feature will need to be installed on your Chrome browser on your PC. Bookmark a Web Page: 1.
Bluetooth Modes: On: Bluetooth is turned on. Your tablet can detect other Bluetooth-enabled devices, but not vice versa. Discoverable: Bluetooth is turned on, and all other Bluetooth-enabled devices can detect your tablet. Off: Bluetooth is turned off. In this mode, you can neither send nor receive information using Bluetooth. Power Control Widget **Note: To turn on Bluetooth, go to Home > Menu > Add > Widget > Power Control.
Turn Off the Camera or Camcorder: On the Camera screen, press Home or RETURN . Capture a Picture: 1. 2. 3. Press Home , touch the Applications and then touch Camera (if you are in Camcorder mode, slide Switch mode button to Camera). Frame your subject on the screen. This 2-megapixel camera is designed to support the functions described below. 4. Press the Capture button to take a picture. Record a Video: 1. 2. 3.
4. Press the Recording button to start recording video. Touch the same key again to stop recording. After Capturing a Photo or Video: After capturing a photo or video, the image will appear in the Preview/Zoom screen at the upper right hand corner. Simply touch the Preview/Zoom screen and go to the Gallery to share the picture or video. Viewing, Sharing, and Editing Pictures After you have taken a picture, you can view it, edit it, or share it with friends through email or messaging (SMS).
Manage Picture Gallery: 1. 2. While in the Gallery screen, press Menu twice to manage folders. Touch the check box on the folder you want to manage. When the item folder is selected, the check box will turn to a green color. Close Picture Gallery: While in the Gallery screen, press Home or RETURN to close the application. **Note: If you opened the Gallery from the Camera application, the screen returns to the Camera screen when you press RETURN .
3. To move the crop tool to another area on the picture, touch and hold inside the crop tool, then drag it with your finger to t he desired position. Touch Save to apply the changes to the picture. **Note: The cropped picture is saved in the storage card as a copy. The original picture will remain unedited. Share Picture/Video Screen Send a Picture Using Email or Messaging: 1. 2. 3. While viewing a picture in full screen, press Menu , then touch Share. When prompted, touch Email or Messaging.
Music Playback Screen Play Music: Touch a song to play it back. **Notes: Press the Volume key to adjust the playback volume. **Tip: Play songs in your library in a random order. While on the Music playback screen, simply press Menu , and then touch Party shuffle. The first randomly selected song will play. To turn off shuffle mode, press Menu , then touch Party shuffle off. Setting Playlists Use a playlist to organize your music files. You can create as many playlists as you want on your tablet.
