LAVA® Brand Motion Lamp The Shape of Cool™
PACKAGE CONTENTS:
• LAVA® Brand Motion Lamp (which includes base, glass globe, cap)
• One bulb (Refer to Bulb Replacement Instructions for details.)
SAFETY, CARE, AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS:
• DO NOT REMOVE BOTTLE CAP FROM GLASS GLOBE. Do not remove the cap on the globe or add anything to the globe. The air space at the top of the globe is necessary in order to allow for the expansion of contents. Breaking the seal on the globe shall void the warranty.
• Remove all excess packaging before assembling.
• Check and see if the light bulb and socket in the lamp base are centered and tightened prior to turning on the lamp. The light bulb and socket may have moved during shipping. If this has occurred, then gently use your fingers to re-center them.
• Only use provided bulb. Variances in bulb size or wattage will produce unsatisfactory operation, fire, or possible breakage of the globe.
• Run the lamp on a clean and flat surface, away from heated surfaces and direct sunlight. Direct sunlight may cause colors to fade.
• Allow the lamps (except 18.5” & 27” lamps) to warm up for 2 to 3 hours to ensure it performs at its optimal level. For 18.5” & 27” lamps, allow 4 to 6 hours. Note: All LAVA® motion lamps have a coil in the bottom of the globe. This is to accelerate the heating process.
• Do not run lamp for longer than 10 hours at a time.
• Exercise caution when handling the lamp while it is plugged in. The lamp will take 2 to 3 hours to cool after it has been turned off.
• To disconnect, turn all controls to the off position, then remove plug from outlet.
• Do not place the lamp near sources of heat or cold, such as a heater or air conditioner. The lamp operates best at 68º F / 21º C.
• Handle product with care; the glass globe may break if subjected to any form of sudden impact. If it becomes necessary to clean up broken glass first unplug unit and then use care and safety precautions. (Refer to Clean-Up Instructions below for details.)
• Do not force polarized plug into an outlet. As safety precaution, one blade is wider and can only be inserted one way into the outlet.
• Do not use any other means to heat up motion lamp besides bulb provided or attempt to cool it down artificially.
• Do not shake the lamp while the product is warm. Lamp will become cloudy and unable to repair.
• This product is intended for personal indoor household use only – DO NOT use outdoors.
• If the LAVA® lamp has a USB port for charging (5V 1A USB rating) – the USB charging port will only work if the lamp is turned on. To use the USB Charging Port, insert the USB cable into the USB Power Charging Port and connect your smart device to the USB cable. To ensuring proper docking look
for the charging icon on your smart device. The USB cable does not come with lamp.

• Keep product out of reach of small children and pets. This item is NOT a toy. Close supervision is necessary when this furnishing is used by, or near children, invalids, or disabled persons.
• Use this furnishing only for its intended use as described in these instructions. Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
• When not in use, store the furnishing in a cool, dry place on a flat surface. Wrap the cord around the base of the LAVA® lamp and keep away from moisture.

CLEAN-UP INSTRUCTIONS FOR ACCIDENTAL BREAKAGE: If the globe breaks, it is not harmful if it is handled properly. SCHYLLING INC. IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE CAUSED BY PRODUCT BREAKAGE.
1. Wear rubber gloves during the clean-up process to protect skin and prevent cuts from broken glass.
2. Carefully pick up and dispose of broken glass and plastic pieces.
3. Use disposable towels to soak up excess liquid (you can use water to aid in clean up because the liquid is water soluble).
4. Thoroughly clean any products soiled by the liquid.
5. After the liquid has been cleaned up, a commercial cleaning detergent may be used to deep clean the area. Prompt clean-up is key.
6. For carpet, blot up spilled material with an absorbent disposable cloth. Follow cleaning directions from your carpet manufacturer.
7. For floors, wipe up with disposable cloth and clean with normal floor cleaning detergent.
BULB REPLACEMENTS INSTRUCTIONS: Before attempting to change the light bulb, please follow the below instructions carefully:
1. Turn off and unplug the lamp from the outlet.
2. Please wait at least one hour, then remove the glass globe from the base. Set aside in a safe location.
3. Please wait at least one hour for the bulb to cool down before replacing. Do not attempt to remove light bulb while hot.
4. Once light bulb is cool to the touch, carefully unscrew from base and discard safely.
5. Replace with the new light bulb by screwing into the base socket. Please see specifications below for correct bulb wattage.
6. Replace glass globe, plug into outlet, and turn your lamp on.

This unit is warranted by SCHYLLING INC. against defects in workmanship or materials for 90 days from the date of purchase. The duration of any express or implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to 90 days from the date of purchase. This
warranty shall be void if the unit has been subject to abuse, negligent handling, and disregard of operating instructions or attempted repair by anyone other than the manufacturer. SCHYLLING INC. shall in no event be responsible for incidental or consequential damages of any nature or amount. NOTE: Some
states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or do not allow the exclusion or limitation of consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you (as the purchaser) may also have other rights which vary from
state to state.
SERVICE AND REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Within the 90 day warranty period, if for any reason your unit does not function properly, please return it to you retailer where the purchase was made. The manufacturer is the only one that can make warranty replacements after 90 days. DO NOT RETURN THE PRODUCT TO SCHYLLING INC. UNLESS
