5. LIGHTING: Use long extended lighter to light fuel. CAUTION: The flame starts out slowly. Please allow
15-20 minutes to reach the optimum temperature and flame height. DO NOT ASSUME THE FUEL DID
NOT IGNITE. Flame might be low and almost invisible, just allow 15 minutes for flame to reach optimum
level. Follow the refilling instructions in this manual.
6. BURNING: DO NOT MOVE OR TOUCH FIREPLACE WHEN LIT OR HEAT IS PRESENT. UNIT WILL
BE VERY HOT. It is recommended that the fuel in the burner or burner cup be burned completely.
NEVER LEAVE A BURNING OR HOT FIREPLACE UNATTENDED. KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN
AND PETS; THIS IS NOT INTENDED FOR CHILDREN. NEVER ALLOW CHILDREN TO FILL, LIGHT
OR EXTINGUISH A FLAME/FIREPLACE.

7. EXTINGUISHING: To extinguish the flame, only use the snuffer tool that came with your fireplace or use
the slider/dampener tool to close the burner. DO NOT ATTEMPT BLOW OUT FLAME or attempt to
extinguish with water. Snuff for 20 seconds or longer. DO NOT ASSUME FLAME IS OUT BECAUSE
YOU CANNOT SEE IT. Repeat process 2-3 times, close and leave for 15 minutes.
