Thank you for purchasing a diode laser module. Please observe the following
operating and safety instructions to maximise the service life of your laser
module.
Please read the following information carefully and keep it safe.
• Please observe the technical specifications.
• Please ensure the operating voltage is stabilised DC. The open-circuit
voltage may increase considerably in the event of non-stabilised
power supply units. This will inevitably destroy the electronics
components.
• Solid-state lasers (DPSS) contain high-grade crystals. They are
particularly sensitive to shock. Shock impacts in excess of 50G cause
an output loss or destroy the module.
• We do not assume any liability and exclude warranty in the event
of any changes to the module, such as changes to the electronics
components, manipulating controllers, housing or optics (in parti-
cular increasing the output). Manipulations of the laser module may
cause the power output and the wavelength to considerably deviate
from the specified values. In this process, the specified laser output
may be exceeded several times and invisible infrared laser radiation
may escape.
The statutory warranty is rendered void in the event of non-compliance with
the above information.
Due to the specific characteristics of laser radiation and the biological
effects this has, special protection and cautionary measures are required
for the application of laser radiation. To define the individual measures to
be taken in each case, lasers are assigned to classes based on their hazard
potential. The authoritative documents on laser device assignments to the
classes 1, 1M, 2, 2M, 3R, 3B and 4 are the DIN EN 60825-1 standard.
