Installation the Front Camera and GPS Antenna
* Suggested wiring installation (below)
The NAVC-525-WIFI works best when mounted centrally and high up on the windscreen (typically
behind or close to the rear vision mirror for the front camera). Use the supplied windscreen suction
mount to affix the NAVC-525-WIFI to the windscreen and then adjust the mount until you can see a
clear view of the road ahead on the Monitor. Note: Be sure to remove the plastic cover from the
silicone suction pad and ensure the glass surfaces are clean, dry and lint free.
1) NAVC-525-WIFI device mounted behind the rear vision
mirror.
2) Car charger cable routed behind rear vision mirror.
3) Cable hidden behind roof headlining.
4) Cable hidden behind “A” pillar – beware of airbag
equipped cars.
5) Cable is routed beside the dashboard/near the door hinges.
6) Cable is passed under the passenger carpet (or under the dashboard).
7) Car charger plug is connected to the car’s “cigarette socket”.
8) Connect the GPS module. Position the module behind one of the sun visors as to not obstruct your
view. Affix to the windscreen using the adhesive pad attached to the module.
Once the wiring and installation of the NAVC-525-WIFI has been completed, please check the following:
- With the car’s ignition on (or engine started), the Blue LED indicator on the NAVC-525-WIFI will light up. Recording
should start automatically. This will indicate a successful installation.
- When the car’s ignition is turned off, the device should turn off within 20 seconds. If this doesn’t happen then
power is still being supplied to the car charger socket and the device will need to be switched off manually.
