Shown below are the size ranges for the various models of Brisa
™
retractable door screens. The Brisa
screen for single and double panel hinged doors is surface/face mounted to the front surface of the
door brick molding/trim (see image).
Doors, door frames and door sills vary by manufacturer. An advantage of surface mounting the Brisa
screen is that it can be moved up and down in the opening as needed in order to best fit your specific
door frame and style of door sill before fastening it in place. This makes the Brisa screen extremely
versatile and able to fit the heights indicated in Chart “A”.
Doors that are 6’8” tall tend to be the most common yet heights vary by geographic region. When
installing on a single or double hinged-door, a 3/4" or greater mounting surface depth is required
inside the doorframe. For 6’8” tall sliding patio doors please see the unique screen housing sizing
footnote and installation and mounting instructions.
Surface/Face Mounting on a
Traditional Hinged Door
• 2 Cuts required if less than 32” for single doors and 68”
for double doors.
• Door designs and thresholds vary. It may be possible
to position the screen upwards or downwards to t an
opening size not listed. In such cases, a ller board
or trim may need to be applied. Doors with transoms
above the door may also require a ller board or trim
before or after installing the screen. Always ensure the
bottom of the screen is rmly supported.
• The version for sliding patio doors will t all traditional
6’8” tall sliders. The sliding patio door version features
different mounting hardware and a slightly shorter
Screen Housing so that the system can rest in the
opening as needed.
