GL-2151
The Golight GoBee 2151 is designed to be used in your existing 2 or 3 prong bow socket. This searchlight
with directional flexibility is controlled by a wireless remote, which gives the operator a full 360°
horizontal rotation and a 90° vertical tilt with fingertip control.
INSTALLATION
Existing Bow Mount Socket
1. Carefully engage stanchion into base socket. As it slides into socket, make sure the alignment
screw at rear of stanchion slides into notch at rear of socket. Push stanchion down until it
engages with electrical connector at bottom of socket. Lock unit in place by sliding lock collar
into the top of the socket and rotate clockwise. Check to make sure stanchion is secure in the
socket.
2. This light has been designed to function in a 2 or 3 pin bow socket. There is a rocker switch on
the bottom of the spotlight assembly that is used to cycle between 2 and 3 pin wiring
configurations. The red/green navigation light will turn on when the switch is in the correct
position for your boats wiring configuration.
Note: The boat’s bow socket is typically on a “switched” circuit. Please make sure this circuit is
powered on when trying to use the light.
BULB REPLACEMENT
The Golight Gobee utilizes a H-3 55 watt bulb, which may be purchased through Larson Electronics –
www.magnalight.com or by dialing 1-800-369-6671.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Power requirements: This product requires a minimum voltage of 12V and requires at least 5.5-6 amps
to function. 7 amp fuse recommended. If the power receptacle is wired correctly and the light will still
not activate with the remote, the boat wire may not be the recommended gauge. Larson Electronics’
recommends a minimum of 14 gauge wire; 16 gauge may or may not be sufficient depending on the
total length of the wire.
BATTERY INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL FOR TRANSMITTER
Remove battery cover by unscrewing Phillips head screw. With battery compartment now exposed,
insert battery with “+” side up. To remove battery, gently grasp outer edge of battery and lift it up.
