FLOODING
In the unlikely event flooding occurs; flush all parts as quickly as possible with fresh water and dry.
Check “O” ring for damage, lubricate with silicone grease and reassemble. See “O” ring visual inspection
paragraph. Let hydrogen gas catalyst air dry before reassembling.
BATTERIES AND BURN TIMES
5-6 hours useable light (at 50°F). NOTE: Alkaline battery voltage and lamp intensity drop off very slowly
after 15 minutes of use.
AUTOMATIC PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE
This flashlight is equipped with Automatic Pressure Relief Valve on the body just behind the belt clip.
This is part new changes required in Non-incentive approval specifications. This product remains 100%
submersible. The APR valve is totally maintenance free and should never need inspection.
TROUBLESHOOTING CHECKLIST
1. If your flashlight fails to light, it’s caused by one of two things. The lamp is burned out, or one or
more batteries are reversed or dead.
2. Check to see if batteries are inserted positive (+) end up.
3. If your flashlight has reduced intensity or “yellow-out” prematurely, it’s caused by depleted
batteries or restricted lamp voltage.
4. Always replace batteries first before purchasing new lamp.
HYDROGEN GAS ABSORBER
Very Important Safety Information! All flashlights have internal catalyst pellets placed inside the bulb
shock. Their purpose is to absorb hydrogen gas that could be released by defective, leaking, reversed
polarity or heavily discharged batteries. If the pellets become damaged or lost, replace bulb shock
immediately. (Contact Larson Electronics at 1 800 369 6671) If pellets become wet due to catalytic
action of hydrogen mixing with oxygen to form water, or by accidental flooding of battery compartment,
let pellets air dry or replace bulb shock. Larson Electronics assumes no liability for any brand batteries
which are defective or cause injury to anyone when used in any flashlight. Check and replace any and all
suspect, leaking or corroded batteries. Failure to do so could cause personal injury. Avoid heavy
discharging of batteries beyond useful light conditions by leaving switch on. Always check new or used
batteries for signs of corrosion, leakage or external signs of damage. Replace if suspect. Always replace
all 3 batteries at the same time. Do not mix brands or types.
