BATTERY INSTALLATION
Caution: Do not mix polarity or brands. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not use carbon zinc batteries.
1. Remove lens housing by turning counter-clockwise.
2. Insert 3 “C” size alkaline batteries or ni-cad battery with contacts touching. Use only alkaline
batteries. Standard carbon zinc batteries are not recommended.
3. Replace reflector assembly.
4. Replace lens housing squarely on threads and turn clockwise.
ON/OFF
To turn on, press rubber switch at the end of the light once. To turn light off, depress switch. Once
switch is in “on” position, the head can be used to turn the light on or off.
LAMP REPLACEMENT
Replace lamp only after checking batteries first. Replace lamp only after reading Troubleshooting
Checklist section.
1. To replace bulb, unscrew lens cover and remove reflector assembly.
2. Unscrew shock bulb cap from reflector. Replace bulb and screw shock cap onto reflector.
3. Insert reflector assembly into light and screw on lens cover.
“O” RING MAINTENANCE
Always check the “O” ring closely each time you replace batteries or lamp. Remove any foreign matter
from the “O” ring and sealing surfaces. KEEP THREADS, “O” RING, AND INSIDE LIPS OF LENS LUBRICATED
WITH SILICONE GREASE. Check closely for cut, scratched, or otherwise damaged “O” ring. Remember
the slightest surface scratch on the “O” ring or mating lens can cause your flashlight to flood under
pressure.
“O” RING VISUAL INSPECTION
Remove lens guard and lens by unscrewing counter clockwise. Check for even and solid “O” ring contact
band all the way around the inside of tube. A ragged spot or cut indicates “O” ring damage. REPLACE “O”
RING BEFORE USE IN WATER. Replace lens and lens guard by aligning squarely on threads and turn
clockwise until tight. Be careful not to over tighten.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
We recommend rinsing off external “O” ring area with fresh water after use in salt, sand, or muddy
water. Periodically clean all electrical contact points, such as spring ends, battery ends and battery
retainer ends, with emery or fine sandpaper to remove non-conductive film buildup, which causes
reduced lamp intensity.
