Application

The extension cable KE 5-022 L-CY 2 x 0,22 mm² is a PVC insulated cable which transmits the thermoelectric

voltage of Fe/CuNi thermocouples. It is for flexible use and fixed installation in dry and damp rooms. They may

only be installed outdoors with UV protection and in observation of the max. permitted temperature range. The

copper braiding screens the cable against electromagnetical interference.

Conductor 0,22 mm² (7 x 0,20 mm)

Conductor material LX alloying, accuracy class 2 according DIN 43722

Positive conductor: Fe (iron)

Negative conductor: CuNi (cupronickel)

Core insulation PVC compound

Core identification Positive conductor: red

Negative conductor: blue

Core layering Cores twisted together

Inner sheath PVC compound, colour: blue

Screening tinned copper braiding

Outer sheath PVC compound, colour: blue

Limiting deviation class 2 ± 140 µV (± 2,5 °C) / m easuring point temperature +500 °C

Mechanical and thermal properties

Temperature range occasional flexing: -5 °C up to +70 °C

Minimum bending radius occasional flexing: 15 x cable diameter
