4. Tap CAPTURE or START RECORDING.
NOTE: When capturing a video, you can refocus at any time during the video to focus on a different area
of a target.
12.2 Range Finder
A pulsed laser-based range finder sensor is used to determine the distance between the device and a target. The
range finder indicates to the user when the device is held at the correct distance for optimal imaging.
Acceptable range for Fluorescence mode is 8-12 cm. When the device is at an acceptable distance, the range finder
icon appears green. When it is out of range, the range finder icon appears amber.
In Range
Out of Range
In Fluorescence mode, prompts will appear on the screen telling the user to move closer or farther away from the
wound in order to enter the correct range.
When the device is out-of-range (icon appears amber), an out-of-range warning icon will be displayed in the field
of view on the top right corner.
NOTE: The range finder warning icon will be imbedded onto the image when saved.
12.3 Ambient Light Sensor
Fluorescence images and videos need to be captured in a dark environment for optimal fluorescence image
quality. The ambient light senor indicates the correct level of ambient light in the imaging environment for
fluorescence imaging. Until the correct ambient light levels are met for fluorescence imaging, the FL Available icon
will not be displayed.
The ambient light can be reduced by turning off the room lights, blocking windows and turning off computer
monitors. When the ambient light levels are met for fluorescence imaging, the following icon will be displayed
when in Standard mode:
