Non-recommended Paper

CAUTION:
Important

Do not use any of the following kinds of paper or a fault might occur.
• Thermal fax paper
•Art paper
• Aluminum foil
• Carbon paper
• Conductive paper
• Colored OHP transparencies
• Paper with perforations
• Paper that has already been copied or printed onto.
Note

Do not use the following kinds of paper or a misfeed might occur.
• Bent, folded, or creased paper
•Torn paper
• Slippery paper
• Perforated paper
• Rough paper
• Thin paper that has low stiffness
• Paper coated with a lot of paper dust

Copying onto rough grain paper can result in a blurred copy image and lim-
ited solid fill.
Paper Storage
Note

When storing paper, the following precautions should always be followed:
• Do not store paper where it will be exposed to direct sunlight.
• Avoid storing paper in humid (greater than 70%) areas.
• Store on a flat surface.
❒
Keep open reams of paper in the package and store as you would unopened
paper. Store on a flat surface.
❒
Under high or low extremes of temperature/humidity, store paper in a vinyl
bag.
•
Do not use aluminum foil, carbon paper, or similar conductive paper to avoid
a fire or equipment failure.
