Communicating with integrated meter modules
In order to address a remote endpoint that has not been configured with a Latitude/Longitude you
must select the endpoint “via” your local radio. This tells the network what path to take to reach
the endpoint, which does not yet have a valid Latitude/Longitude. To select your endpoint “via”
your local radio, right click on the endpoint and select “Select Via…” from the context menu.
Once selected via, the text displayed in the network view should indicate that the remote endpoint
is selected via your local radio.
Setting the Latitude and Longitude
In order to give your device a fixed Latitude and Longitude you must first specify the meter
module as a “non-mobile” device. Do this by selecting Configure>>Send DCW from the main
menu and selecting the UMOBILE.HEX DCW. Once sent confirmation should be displayed on a
“DCW Response” tab as shown below.
Next you will have to set up a Latitude and Longitude or "”WAN Address” for your integrated
meter module. This is the GPS coordinates of the radio. To set the WAN address, go to
Configure>>Wan Address. Specify the new Latitude/Longitude of your integrated meter module
and click OK. A message should appear indicating that the remote radio was successfully
programmed. The color feature may be used if you are planning on installing more than one meter
in the same geographic location.
