Function Explanation
Automatic device
detection
Many devices are automatically detected by LANCOM Advanced
VoIP Client - as a rule, no further configuration is necessary for
these.
New skin
LANCOM Advanced VoIP Client offers a revised standard skin
LANCOMclassicXT.
Manual start of
logon to SIP
accounts
You can now start a renewed logon to all activated SIP accounts if
necessary. For further information please refer to chapter 7.2.1,
The File Menu ,page61.
Definition of own
location
You can now define location particulars. This is necessary for
correct resolution of Outlook contacts, for example. For further
information please refer to chapter 8.4.9,

Definition of a
public line access
You can input a public line access if necessary. This is needed, for
example, when using a SIP gateway for external calls. For further

More options for
compression
You can use additional options for applying voice compression. By
using the options "Prefer uncompressed" and "Prefer
compressed", you can change the setting so that your compres-
sion setting is only used if your call partner's system also supports

Num key no longer
activated as
default
Until now, the Num key on the keyboard has been activated by
default when LANCOM Advanced VoIP Client is on top. You now
have to set this option if you want it. The Num key is deactivated
as default. For further information please refer to chapter 8.4.8,
