Furthermore, you can indicate in your Outlook that the corresponding
contact from your Outlook Contacts should be opened automatically. The
Outlook folders to be used can be selected in the Outlook configuration.
A new contact can be displayed or created from various lists in LANCOM
Advanced VoIP Client (see chapter 6.2.7,
Displaying and creating Outlook
Contacts from lists
,page54).
You can also customize the journal functionality as you like. In this case, a
differentiation is made between incoming and outgoing calls.
You can define, if you want to create a Jounal entry for incoming calls
and if you want it to be displayed directly.
The behavior in the case of outgoing calls can be configured for calls
made from Outlook Contacts and for calls made from other
applications. Depending on whether the calls were successful or not,
you can indicate whether journal entries should only be created or also
displayed.
It is only possible to associate the number of an incoming call to an Outlook-
Contact if Outlook has already been started.
6.2.1 Configuration
You can customize the behavior of Outlook 2000/XP for incoming and
outgoing calls to meet your requirements. For this, however, the component
"MS Outlook AddIn" must be installed on your PC during the installation of
LANCOM Advanced VoIP Client. Outlook AddIn is automatically installed
along with the standard installation. You can tell from the LANCOM
Advanced VoIP Client symbol in the Outlook toolbar of the Contacts folder,
for example, whether this component is present.
