9 Installing and Uninstalling LANCOM
Advanced VoIP Client
This chapter describes how to both install and uninstall LANCOM Advanced
VoIP Client and the corresponding output devices (LANCOM VoIP USB
Handset or LANCOM VoIP Client Headset).
After the installation has been successfully completed, you will find a link to
LANCOM Advanced VoIP Client on your desktop, LANCOM Advanced VoIP
Client in the Windows Start menu, and in the Windows StartUp menu.
9.1 Requirements
LANCOM Advanced VoIP Client
Your PC must fulfill certain requirements in order for you to be able to use
LANCOM Advanced VoIP Client:
Intel Pentium III 700 MHz processor or higher
512 MB RAM
at least 25 MB of free disk space
A graphics adapter with a minimum resolution of 800 x 600 pixels and
with at least 15 bit color depth (32767 colors)
DirectX 8
a full duplex capable sound card with one of the following sound
devices connected: LANCOM VoIP USB Handset, LANCOM VoIP Client
Headset, headset from another manufacturer
Network Adapter
Operating system: Windows 2000, Windows XP Professional or
Windows Vista with installed TCP/IP protocol (for data transfer)
SIP provider
In order to telephone with LANCOM Advanced VoIP Client, you need a SIP
account with a VoIP provider. Alternatively, you can also via peer-to-peer/
ENUM.
