General Application
Important: Mix slowly to prevent incorporating air into product. Because of the wide variety of substrate types and site conditions, it is
always advisable to check adhesion to the surface by testing on a sample area before starting any job. The primer / membrane may be
applied by brush, roller or airless spray. NEVER THIN OR DILUTE FROM FULL STRENGTH. Care should be taken to ensure that the
correct dry coat thickness is applied. Do not apply if air and surface temperature are expected to drop below 50°F degrees before the
coating has completely dried. Do not apply if roof surface is above 120°F. If roof is too hot, spray with water, allow to dry and recoat before
surface temperature rises above 120°F. Do not apply if rain is forecast within 6-8 hours. Do not apply after 4 PM. The thickness of the
dried primer / membrane per coat depends on the method of application. For a single coat dry film thickness of more than 12 mils it is
recommended to be applied by airless spray. Recommended coverage is 80 sqft per gallon at 11.4 mils dry film thickness (20.1 wet mils).
Note: A single coat at 11.4 mils dry film thickness or more will require a longer drying time than an equivalent multi coat application. If two
coats are being applied it is recommended that the coats be applied at right angles to each other. Dry time is controlled by the thickness
of the applied coating, relative humidity and temperature. Apply second coat, after the first coat has dried completely(normally 1 hour,
depending on conditions) or within 24 hours. After all coats have been applied, the primer / membrane should cure for at least 4 days
before attempting any ponding tests. Under unfavorable drying conditions this period may need to be extended.
RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT:
Use airless pump with pressures of 1500-2000 PSI. A fluid delivery of 1-2 gallons per minute with a spray tip size of .026 - .035 will be
adequate. The hoses should be at least 3/8" inside diameter, and should be of the high pressure rated type. If the hose length is more
than 50 feet, a larger inside diameter will be required. Remove gun filters or strainer screens.
CAUTION! Hazardous if swallowed. Contains: Styrene Butadiene Resins. Use only with adequate ventilation. To avoid overexposure,
open windows and doors or use other means to ensure fresh air entry during application and drying. If you experience eye watering,
headaches, or dizziness, increase fresh air, or wear respiratory protection (NIOSH/MSHA TC23C or equivalent) or leave the area.
Adequate ventilation required when sanding or abrading the dried film. If adequate ventilation cannot be provided wear an approved
particulate respirator (NIOSH/MSHA TC21C or equivalent). Follow respirator manufacturer’s directions for respirator use. Avoid contact
with eyes and skin. Wash hands after using. Keep container closed when not in use. Do not transfer contents to other containers for
storage.
FIRST AID: In case of eye contact, flush thoroughly with large amounts of water. Get medical attention if irritation persists. If swallowed do
not induce vomiting, get medical attention immediately. DELAYED EFFECTS FROM LONG TERM OVEREXPOSURE. Abrading or
sanding of the dry film may release crystalline silica which has been shown to cause lung damage and cancer under long-term exposure.
WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals which is/are known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or
reproductive harm. DO NOT TAKE INTERNALLY. KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN.
