LAMAX GPS Locator

1) Switching on the device
– To switch on the device, hold down the „SOS button“ for at least 5 seconds.
– If no SIM card is inserted in the device, the device vibrates and the blue LED in the centre
lights up.
– If a SIM card is inserted, the device vibrates, the blue LED in the centre lights up, and there
is an audible beep.
– If the blue LED on the device does not flash after switching on, the status of the device can be
verified by tapping the „SOS button“. If the device is switched on, the „LED“ lights up briefly.
Note: If the device is not connected to the network, the LED flashes continuously at
approximately 1-second intervals.
2) Switching off the device
a) No SIM card inserted in the LAMAX GPS Locator / no signal (LED flashes at 1-second
intervals).
– Hold down the „SOS button“ for at least 5 seconds to switch off the device.
b) SIM card inserted in the LAMAX GPS Locator / with signal.
– Switching off cannot be done in the same way as without a SIM card inserted or if the
device has no signal. This measure prevents the LAMAX GPS Locator from being easily and
accidentally switched off manually by the user. Pressing the SOS button for 5 seconds in this
case initiates an SOS call to the set SOS contact numbers in the LAMAX Tracking application.
– In this case there are 2 ways to switch off the LAMAX GPS Locator
1. Press the „SOS button“ 10 times in succession and the device switches off within 3
seconds.
2. Switch off the LAMAX GPS Locator remotely via the LAMAX Tracking application (Menu
→ Remote device shutdown).
