Themodulehas3enablepins,oneforeachcore:WL_EN,andBT_ENandFM_EN.Presently,thereare2modesofactive
operationnowsupported:WLANandBluetooth.ItisrecommendedthattheFM_ENpinbegroundedtodisabletheFM
section.ItisalsorecommendedthattheFMsectionbedisabledbyBluetoothHCIcommands.
1. EachcoreisoperatedindependentlybyassertingeachENsignaltoLogic'1'.Inthismodeitispossibletocontroleach
coreasynchronouslyandindependently.
2. Bluetoothmodeoperation.WLANwillbeoperatedthroughWL_ENasynchronouslyandindependentlyofBluetooth.
IRQOPERATION
1. ThedefaultstateoftheWLAN_IRQpriortofirmwareinitializationis0.
2. Duringfirmwareinitialization,theWLAN_IRQisconfiguredbytheSDIOmodule;aWLAN_IRQchangesitsstateto

3. AWLANfirmwareinterruptishandledasfollows:
a. TheWLANfirmwarecreatesanInterrupt‐to‐Host,indicatedbya1‐to‐0transitiononthe
WLAN_IRQline(hostmustbeconfiguredasactive‐loworfalling‐edgedetect).
b. Afterthehostisavailable,dependingontheinterruptpriorityandotherhosttasks,itmasksthefirmware
interrupt.TheWLAN_IRQlinereturnsto1(0‐to‐1transitionontheWLAN_IRQline).
c. Thehostreadstheinternalregisterstatustodeterminetheinterruptsources‐theregisterisclearedafter
theread.
d. Thehostprocessesinsequencealltheinterruptsreadfromthisregister
e. Thehostunmasksthefirmwareinterrupts.
