Hands-free system
Functional requirement
In order to use the functions of the hands-free
system, the radio or the audio system of the ve-
hicle must be switched on. (Please refer to the
vehicle Owner's Manual.)
Function overview
The hands-free system supports the
Bluetooth
®
hands-free profile. This is a conveni-
ent system for making phone calls in your car
which provides the following functions:
• Call functions such as incoming call,
outgoing call, call waiting and redialling
• Integrated voice control
• Voice control directly from the mobile phone
phone book (without programming)
• Activating and using the mobile phone voice
control
• Reading and replying to text messages
•iPod
®
player
• Phone book, call lists
• Music player: playback of music files from
the mobile phone or MP3 player via Blue-
tooth
®
audio streaming
• Automatic radio muting
• Log-on of up to 10 mobile phones
Radio remote control
1 Rotary knob:
• Navigating through the menus
• Starting voice control
• Entering digits and letters
• Selecting the active menu
2 Red button:
• Rejecting incoming calls
•Hanging up
• Jumping back from current submenu
• Activating telephone voice control
3 Green button:
• Accepting incoming calls
• Selecting the active menu
• Initiating a call to the currently selected
phone number
