Pairing other media players
• Activate the Bluetooth function on the media player and switch it to visible.
• Open the telephone menu on the instrument cluster display.
• Switch to the Bluetooth menu ⇒ page 33.
• Switch to Media player and start Search.
• Media players found are shown in the Device list.
• Select the desired device.
• Enter the required passkey on the PREMIUM mobile telephone provision and, if necessary, on the
media player.

• The 5 symbol is displayed on the instrument cluster as confirmation. You can then play music
stored on the media player.
If no mobile telephone is connected with the PREMIUM mobile telephone provision, switch directly to
the Media player item in the telephone menu.
A paired media player is assigned to a user profile. The next time you connect to its user, the media
player is automatically connected with the PREMIUM mobile telephone provision ⇒ page 14.
Starting and stopping music playback
• Select the music playback programme on the mobile telephone, e.g. Playback via Blue-
tooth.
• Select the device VW Phone.
• Start music playback on the mobile telephone.
• If necessary, select the audio source on the radio or navigation system ⇒ Booklet Radio or
⇒ Booklet Navigation system .
• To close playback, stop the music playback programme on the mobile telephone.
Operation during music playback via “Bluetooth Audio”
You can adjust the sound settings and switch to other audio sources on the radio or navigation system
⇒ Booklet Radio or ⇒ Booklet Navigation system .
You can select the music track and fast forward or reverse using the buttons on the mobile telephone.

player, can it be used to make
calls while it is playing music?
Yes, all telephone functions are available during music playback
via Bluetooth Audio. Music playback is stopped while you make
a telephone call.
