PREMIUM mobile telephone provision 34
Function Description
DTMF tones
You can generate DTMF tones (Dual Tone Multiple Frequency) to control service
functions, such as mailbox authorisation.
Switch the
microphone on
and off
Switch the microphone in the vehicle on and off.
Headset
Hands-free
function
Switch a telephone call to a connected Bluetooth headset to prevent the passengers
in the vehicle hearing your conversation. The telephone call can be switched back
to the vehicle speakers with the menu item Hands-free.
Call holding
During an active telephone call, answer a second waiting call without having to
end the first one. The active call will be held. Using the Call holding function
you can switch between the active call and the held call.
Bluetooth headset
Before using a Bluetooth headset, it must first be paired with the PREMIUM mobile telephone provision
 page 42. An incoming call can be taken directly on the headset if the headset has been paired and
connected with the PREMIUM mobile telephone provision.

Short dialogue and long dialogue
Voice control can be set to either short dialogue or long dialogue.
It is advisable to use the short dialogue if you are familiar with the commands and menus of the voice
control function  page 36. Say the required voice command after the tone.
With the long dialogue you receive additional instructions and information for the next steps in voice
control.
