Lake Controller Operation Manual Rev 1.7.0
Firmware Update
For PLM+ and D Series, the rmware update utility must be able to read the Dante component before the
rmware update can start; ensure the network adapter selected for rmware update is on the same subnet
as Dante (169.254.x.x) and ensure the Lake Update Utility has full access through the rewall.
An hourglass will display with the text “Dante version...”; if this
does not complete within 30 seconds, press the Refresh Dante
button. If the issue continues, open the Dante Controller and
press “Reload Device Information”, or restart the computer.
.
6. Tap SELECT OLD and then UPDATE. A warning message appears.

7. Tap OK in response to the warning message. All selected devices are updated in parallel with the latest
rmware. A green tick indicates the rmware is already at the latest version, a percentage indicates the
update status for the devices currently being updated, and a red cross indicates the rmware is old and
is awaiting update or the device requires a power-cycle to complete the upgrade.

8. Wait for all devices to be updated. For PLM+ and D Series (with rmware >2.58), the rmware update
process will include a automatic power cycle.
For PLM, LM and MY8-LAKE, when the rmware is updated, a warning advises that the mains power must
be cycled (using the standby button on the Front Panel is not sufcient). For the MY8-LAKE, please power-
cycle the host device.
