4.3.6. Set Preparation Time for Sched u led Binary Messages
The Binary Message Prep Time feature defines the preparation time needed to ac-
quire the information contained in the binary message payload, such as meteorolo-
gical or hydrological records. To create scheduled binary messages, enter “5” in the
“System Configuration Menu,” and the option shown in Figure 4--11 appears. For
information on binary messages, see a description in the Introduction” section of
this manual.
To select a message, press “M to scroll through the available message types and
select one. Press “I” to increase the preparation time by 5 seconds each time the
key is hit. Press “D to decrease preparation time by 5 seconds each time the key is
hit. Press “G” to toggle the GPS antenna on or off.
When the changes are complete, press “Enter,” and the AtoN Transmit Schedule”
appears. Press “Esc, and the “Binary Msg Prep Time Setup” reappears. Press “Esc”
again to return to the “System Configuration Menu.”
