CASSETTE PLAYER / RECORDER OPERATION
1. Press the CASSETTE STOP/EJECT BUTTON (#17) to open the Cassette Door and
insert a pre-recorded cassette tape with the exposed tape facing upwards. Push the
Cassette Door to close it.
2. Set the FUNCTION SELECTOR (#23) to OFF/TAPE position, press the CASSETTE
PLAY
BUTTON (#20) to start playback and adjust the Rotary Volume Control to obtain the
desired sound level.
3. Press the CASSETTE F.FWD
BUTTON (#18) or the CASSETTE REW
BUTTON (#19)
to rapidly advance or rewind the tape.
4. Press the CASSETTE PAUSE
BUTTON (#16) to pause the playback, press it again to
resume the playback.
5. Press the CASSETTE STOP/EJECT BUTTON (#17) to stop operation.
Recording
1. Insert an audiocassette with the side on which you wish to record facing forwards (full reel on
the right). Ensure that the cassette is not copy-protected (the copy protection tab on the top
narrow side of the cassette must not have been removed).
2. Select the source from which you wish to record with the function switch and then start
playback from this source if necessary. The sound source which you are listening to is the
one from which the recording is made. The recording level is controlled automatically.
Changing the volume does not change the recording.
3. Please press the CASSETTE RECORD BUTTON (#21) (the CASSETTE
PLAY
BUTTON (#20) is automatically pressed down at the same time). Recording now
begins. All previous recordings are automatically erased.
4. The recording can be interrupted briefly using the CASSETTE PAUSE
BUTTON (#16), or
stopped by means of the CASSETTE STOP/EJECT
BUTTON (#17) .
AUTOMATIC STOP
To protect your cassette tapes and prevent unnecessary wear to the pinch roller of the cassette
mechanism, this unit is equipped with an Automatic Stop System. When the tape ends during
play, the CASSETTE PLAY
BUTTON (#20) will automatically release to stop the cassette
from running
PLAYING FROM A BLUETOOTH DEVICE
Before you listen to music via the unit, you must pair the devices.
1. Ensure, that the Bluetooth function is activated in your player (e.g. mobile phone). For this,
refer to the operation manual of your player.
2. Set the FUNCTION SELECTOR (#23) to BT position., the “bt” will flash on the display.
3. Chose the Bluetooth menu in your player and register the device in your player. For this, refer
to the operation manual of your player. The device “CD-590” will show in your player as a
selection. The “bt” will appear on the display steadily.
4. For the further procedure, please refer to the user manual of the playback unit. If possible,
adjust the volume of the external unit to a comfortable level.
5. If you want CD-590 change to pair with another Bluetooth device, press MODE BUTTON (#11)
to disconnect. The “bt” will flash in the display again.
NOTE:
Only one playback device may be connected with the music center at one time. If the music
center is already connected with a different playback device, the music center will not appear in
the BT selection menu.
