Emergency Alerts
Your phone is compatible with federally supervised cell phone alert services which send out
broadcast SMS messages for public warning.
View an Emergency Alert
► If you have an Emergency Alert notification, press the Center soft key [Select] on
the notification screen to open it.

From the Idle screen, press the Center soft key [Menu] > Tools & Settings >
Settings > Wireless & networks > Emergency Alerts.
Emergency Alert Settings
From the Idle screen, press the Center soft key [Menu] > Tools & Settings > 1.
Settings > Wireless & networks > Emergency Alerts.
Press the Left soft key [Settings]. 2.
Configure the following options: 3.
 Receive alerts: Press the Center soft key [Select] or [Deselect] to
check/uncheck the box next to the options. Press the Left soft key [Done] when
finished.
• Extreme Alert to receive emergency alerts in an extreme emergency situation
(an extraordinary threat to life or property).
• Severe Alert to receive emergency alerts in a severe emergency situation (a
significant threat to life or property).
• AMBER Alert to receive alerts related to missing or endangered children.
 Cellbroadcast message: Set to On to receive cell broadcast messages.
 Notification settings:
• Notifications: Set to On to display a notification when an alert is received.
