Roaming Guard
Your phone alerts you when you are roaming off the Nationwide Sprint Network by requiring an
extra step before you can place or answer a call, or try to access data while roaming.

3. Select each service you want to enable Roaming guards for:

Voice
to display a prompt that will require you to respond anytime you attempt to
access voice service while roaming in the selected region (
DOMESTIC
or
INTERNATIONAL
).

Data
to display a prompt that will require you to respond anytime you attempt to
access data service while roaming in the selected region (
DOMESTIC
or
INTERNATIONAL
). The prompt will not appear again while you are in the data
session you allowed.

Outgoing SMS
to display a prompt that will require you to respond anytime you
attempt to send a text message while roaming internationally.
Tip:
If you prefer not to use the Roaming guards feature, touch the
Never ask
check box and
then touch
OK
or
Roam
while the alert dialog is displayed. You will not be notified of
your roaming status until you enable Roaming guards again.
To place roaming calls with Roaming guards on:
1. Touch

Phone
.
2. Touch the area code + the seven-digit number and touch .
3. Read the message and touch
OK
.
To answer roaming calls with Roaming guards on:

OK
.
To access data services while roaming with Roaming guards on:
► Read the message and touch
Roam
.
To send a text message while roaming with Roaming guards on:
► Read the message and touch
Send now
. Touch
Save as draft
to save the message as
draft and send it later.
