Word Suggestion Settings
Quick fixes: Check to add a period when you press the space key twice to indicate
sentence completion.
Show suggestions: Check to display suggested words as you type.
Auto-complete: Check to enter a highlighted word automatically if a space or a
punctuation symbol is just after the word.
Tips for Editing Text
Entering Text by Speaking
You can use voice input to enter text by speaking anywhere that you can enter text with the
onscreen keyboard. Voice input is an experimental feature that uses Google’s speech-
recognition service, so you must have a data or Wi-Fi connection to use it.
If the onscreen keyboard does not display , voice input is not turned on.
To turn on voice input:
1. Touch > Android keyboard settings > Voice input.
2. Touch On main keyboard or On symbols keyboard.
To enter text by speaking:
1. Touch a text field.
2. Touch on the keyboard.
3. When prompted to “Speak now,say the text you wish to enter into the microphone.
Adding a Word to the User Dictionary
You can use the user dictionary option to add new words into the dictionary.
1. Press Home > Menu , and touch Settings > Language & keyboard > User
dictionary.
2. Press Menu , and touch Add to add a word.
3. Type the word you want to add, and touch OK. (A list of words you have added to the
dictionary is displayed.)
Touch a word to edit or delete it.
