After you have removed the paper jam, replace the
lower feed cover.
Paper Cassette/Paper Feeder
In the event that a paper jam occurs in the paper cassette, follow the procedure below to remove the jam. Paper
jams in the cassette of the optional paper feeder are removed in the same way.
1 Pull out the cassette or optional paper feeder.
2 Remove any partially fed paper.
If you are able to remove the jam, go to step 5.
IMPORTANT: If the paper cannot be removed, do not
try to forcefully remove it. Go to paper jam in the feed
unit on page 10-14.
3 Replace the paper cassette in the machine.
NOTE: If the paper is not loaded correctly, reload the paper.
Paper jam in the paper feeder
If the paper jam cannot be removed using the procedure in paper jam in the paper cassette on page 10-13,
open the rear cover of the paper feeder and remove the jammed paper.
NOTE: If the paper cannot be removed, do not try to
forcefully remove it. Go to paper jam in the feed unit on
page 10-14.
