12. TROUBLESHOOTING
If an operating difficulty is encountered, check the
following list of possible problems and solutions before
returning the unit to the factory or local Service Center.
Problem Possible Solution
No Power Indication Check for proper voltage at
cigarette plug. Reseat cigarette
plug in the socket.
Check fuses if using vehicle’s
cigarette socket.
Unit will not complete Verify the power plug is
test cycle or secure. If the ERR message
shows ERR indicator is lit, power the unit off,
then back on. If the problem
persists, remove unit from
service and record the error code.
No target speed reading Verify that unit is in Test mode.
during tuning fork test
Verify that the unit is in
maximum range.
Verify unit is not in HOLD.
Unsquelch audio. Listen for
Doppler tone.
Lightly strike tuning fork to
avoid harmonics.
