Velocity Tracking (VelTrk)
ThisisanothercommonDSPcontrolparameter.Aswiththeotherparametersonthe KEYMAP
page,thisshiftsthepositionofthekeymap.Differentattackvelocitieswillplaydifferentpitch
shiftsofthesample rootassignedtothatnoterange.Iftheshiftisgreatenough,thenexthigher
orlower
samplerootwillbeplayed,whichinsomecases(ma n ydrumprograms,forexample)
willplayanentirelydifferentsound.Positivevalueswillplayhigherpitchesofthesampleroot
whenyouusehardattackvelocities(theyshiftthekeymapdownward),whilenegativevalues
willplaylowerpitches.

Stereo
You’llusethisparameterwhenyou’reworkingwithstereosamples.
WhenyousetthisparametertoOn,theKEYMAPpagechangesslightly:
AnadditionalKeymapparameterappears.Thetwokeymapparametersaredistinguishedas
Keymap1andKeymap2.TheKEYMAPpageparameterswillaffectbothkeymaps.Whenthe
Stereoparameter
issettoOn,theOUTPUTpageforthecurrentlayerwillshowanadditional
pairofPanparameters.
ThePC3Kcontainsbothstereoandmonosamples.Keymapsdesignedforstereousearelabeled
withnamesbeginningwith“Stereo”orendingin“Left,”“Right,”“L,”or“R.”Forstereo
keymapplayback,
setStereo“On”andassigncorrespondingLeftandRightkeymapsto
Keymap1andKeymap2respectively.Forkeymapsbeginningwith“Stereo,”assignthesa me
keymaptobothKeymap1and Keymap2.IfyouselectthesamekeymapforKeymap1and
Keymap2,thePC3KautomaticallyusestheleftsideforKeymap1andthe
rightsidefor
Keymap2.
Onceyouhavethekeymapsassigned,gototheOUTPUTpageandsetthepanningforeach
sampleasdesired.Keepinmindthatusingstereokeymapsreducesthepolyphonyofthe
program.Forexample,ifyouhadatwo‐layerprogramwithstereokeymapsineach
layer,each
noteyouplaywoulduse4ofyour128voices,allowingatotalof32notesbefore allthevoices
havebeenused.
Ifyou’ renotusingstereosamples,youshouldsetthisparameter’svaluetoOff.
