Program and Category Buttons
UsetheProgramandCategorybuttons,inconjunctionwiththeBankbuttons,toselectPC3K
programsbyBanktypeandinstrumentcategory.EachBankcontains128programsdividedinto
16categories.Eachofthe16categoriescontains8programs.
Toselectaprogram,firstpressoneoftheBankbuttons(above
theslidersontheleftsideofthe
frontpanel)toselectabank,thenpressaCategorybuttonandaPro grambutton.TheCategory
andProgrambuttonsareonthefrontpanel,betweenthescreenandthealphawheel.
Note:TheinstrumentnamesabovetheCategorybuttonsarerelevantfor
Banks1and2(Base1and
Base2).ForallotherBanks,theCategorybuttonsselectagroupof8programstobeselectedbythe
Programbuttons,butthegroupofprogramsmaynotmatchtheinstrumentnameoftheselectedCategory
button.
Picking favorites
Whenyouselectaprogramwithinacategory,yourselectionwillberemembered.Forexample,
chooseprogram3intheOrgancategory(pressCategory:Organ,thenProgram:3).Nowmove
tothestringsbypressingtheCategory:Stringsbutton.IfyoupresstheCategory:Organbutton
again,youwillbe
returnedtoprogram3intheOrgancategory.Inthis way,eachcategorycan
havea“favorite”program.
Youcanmakeprogramselectionswithineachcategoryaheadoftime.Thisway,you’llbeableto
accesstheprogramyouwantinanycategorysimplybypressingappropriatecategorybutton.
