PresstheSelectbuttontoselectordeselectthehighlightedobjectforloading.Anasterisk(*)is
placedtotheleftoftheobjectindexforanyitemsthatareselected.
TheNextbuttonwillcausetheindexintothe listtojum p tothenextselectedobject,forwardin
thelist.Whentheendofthelistisreached,thesearchwillwraparoundfromthebeginning.If
therearenoitemsselected,thenthisbuttondoesn’tdoanything.
TheTypebuttonjumpstothenextobjectofadifferenttypefromtheonethatiscurrently
highlighted.Thisis
aconvenientwaytofindaparticulartypeofobjectinthelist.
Whenyouarefinishedselectingobjectstoload,pressOKandyouwillbepromptedtochoosea
banktoloadtheselectedobject(s)into.SeeLoadingMethods on page 13‐11forinstructionson
choosingabanktoloadto
afterpressingOK.
Cancelreturnstothefilelistdialog,highlightingthefileyoujustopened.
Select All/deselect All
Selectingordeselectingalloftheobjectsatoncecanbedonewiththefollowingdoublebutton
presses:
• Left/Rightcursordouble‐press:SelectAllObjects
• Up/Downcursordouble‐press:ClearAllSelections
Ifyouwant
toloadmostbutnotalloftheitemsfromafile(forexample,iftherehappenstobea
Mastertableinthefilethatyoudon’twanttoload),itmaybefastesttofirs tselectallobjects
usingtheLeft/Rightdouble‐press,andthenmanuallydeselectanyunwanted
items.
Loading Methods
OnceyouhavepressedOKtoloadtheselectedfile(s)orobject(s),youmustselectthebankto
loadtoandaloadingmethod.Thisdeterminestheobjectnumbersthatyourloadedobjectswill
have,andwhetherornotexistingobjectsinthePC3Kwillbedeletedwhenthenewobjects
are
loaded.Youwillseethisdialog:
Firstselectabankrangetoloadto,thenselectaloadingmethodbychoosingoneofthesoft
buttons.Thesoftbuttonscontrolthemodeforloadingandrenumberingofobjectsfromthefile.
Caution:Carefullyreadthedescriptionofeachloading
methodbeforepressingoneofthesoftbuttons.
SomeoftheloadingmethodswilldeleteexistingobjectsinthePC3K.
