Ingeneral,you’llgettotheSongeditorpagesbypressingtheEditbuttonanytimeyou’ rein
Songmode.There’soneexception:iftheProgramparameteriscurrentlyhighlightedonthe
display,you’llentertheProgrameditorwhenyoupressEdit.
Thereareafewconventionssharedbyallof
theSongeditorpages.Displayedatthetopofeach
Songeditorpageisthenameofthepageandthecurrentlyselectedtrack(1–16,oralltracks).All
ofthevaluesfortheparametersfoundinanyofthe Song‐editorpagesaresavedinthesong
object.

PresstheEditbuttononthefrontpanelofthePC3KtodisplaytheCOMMONpageandbegin
editingasong.Thisiswhereyouwillfindparameterscommontoalltracks,suchastempoand
timesignature,controlparametersforeffects,andsoftbuttonsforswitchingtootherSong
editor
pages.
Thecurrentlyselectedtrackisdisplayedonthetopline,thoughontheCOMMONpagethis
onlyappliestotheDrumTrkandMidiDstparameters(seebelow.)Therestoftheparameterson
theCOMMONpageareglobalsettingsforthesonganddonotdirectlyaffectindividualtracks.
Tempo
Thisisanotherplacewherethesong’sinitialtempocanbesetormodified.
TimeSig
Affectstheclick,playbacklooping,andlocatefunctionaswellassomeeditingoperations.Does
notchangetherecordeddata,thoughitdoeschangethewaydataisdisplayedonthescreen.
