Tremolo and AutoPan
TremoloisamplitudemodulationusinganLFO.AutoPanmovesthesignalbetweentheleftand
rightchannels,usinganLFO.Theyhaveseveralparametersincommonandseveralunique
ones.
LFORateistherateoftheLFO.Therangeis0to10.00Hz,or0to12.00xthe
tempo.
RateScalemultipliesthespeedoftheLFOrateintotheaudiorange.Therangeis1to25088x.
Whenabove16x,thevaluesincrementinsemitonesteps.WhentheLFORateissetto1.00Hz,
thevalueofthisparameterisequaltotheLFOfrequency
inHertz.
LFOShapeisthewaveformtypefortheLFO.ChoicesareSine,Saw+,Saw‐,Pulse,andTri.
LFOPlsWidorPulseWidth.WhentheLFOShapeissettoPulse,thissetsthepulsewidthasa
percentageofthewaveformperiod.Whenthewidthissetto
50%,theresultisasquarewave.
Thisparameterhasnoeffectifotherwaveformtypesarechosen.Rangeis0to100%.
AutoPan
Origindeterminestheaxisforthepanningmotion.At0%,thepanningiscenteredbetweenthe
speakers.Positivevaluesshifttheaxistotheright,whilenegative
valuesshiftittotheleft.At
‐100%or+100%(t herangelimits),thereisnopanningaction.
ImageWidthisthewidthoftheoriginalinputprogrammaterialbeforeitisauto‐panned.At0%
(minimum),the inputimageisshrunktoasinglepointsource,allowingmaximumpanning
excursion.At
100%(maximum),theoriginalwidthismaintainedsonopanningcanoccur.
PanWidthcontrolstheamountofpanexcursion.Itisthepercentageoftotalpanningmotion
availableafterOriginandImageWidthareset.Rangeis0to100%.
CentrAtten(Attenuation)istheamountthesignalleveldropsasitis
pannedthroughthecenter
ofthestereoimage.Forthesmoothesttracking, a widelyacceptedsubjectivereferenceis‐3dB.
Valuesabove‐3dBwillcausesomewhatofabumpinlevelasanimagepassesthroughthe
center,whilevaluesbelow‐3dBwillcauseadip.Rangeis‐12to0
dB.
Tremolo
DepthcontrolstheamountofattenuationappliedwhentheLFOisatitsdeepestexcursion
point.Rangeis0to100%.
LFOPhaseshiftsthephaseofthetremoloLFOrelativetothebeatreference.Rangeis0.0to
360.0degrees.
50%Weightistherelativeamountofattenuationaddedwhen
theLFOisatthe‐6dBpoint.This
causestheLFOshapetobowup(positivevalues)ordown(negativevalues).Ra nge is‐16to
3dB.
L/RPhasesetsthephaserelationshipofthechannels.“In”flipstheleftchannel’sLFOoutof
phase,withtheresultthattheeffect
turnsintoanauto‐balancer.“Out”leavestheleftLFOalone.
