Devices with activated online functionality can be identified by
their modified "PROFIBUS" screen start-up logo, depicted
below.

The NetTEST II – online functions can be selected in a Line
test menu item within the Line test menu list.

The NetTEST II uses the online functions while operating in a
completely passive monitoring mode. The equipment performs
a detailed analysis of the telegram traffic and the physical state
of the PROFIBUS line.
