5.2.3.7 Firmware update
The submenu Firmware update enables you to load possible
firmware updates onto the test tool NetTEST II (see chapter
6.4).
A fully charged accumulator is to be used, as the update
process must not be interrupted. With a transition rate of
19.200 Baud the process takes approx. 12 min.
5.2.4 GSD - library

The GSD - library serves for the exchange of GSD files from
the PC to the NetTEST II as well as for storing certain GSD
contents. Should the GSD files of the devices connected to one
segment be stored on the NetTEST II, a reference between
slave_ident_number and the device name can be made. It is
possible to store up to 128 GSD file content on the
NetTEST II.
5.2.4.1 New File
It is not obligatory to load the GSD file onto the NetTEST II.
You can as well enter settings like device name, slot time and
ident number directly via the keyboard and store them in the
data base.
