9.79Adjusting the play in the throttle cable x

– Move the handlebar to the straight-ahead position.
– Use the KTM diagnostics tool to set the motor drive to the basic position.
– Loosen counter nut .
– Set the play in the throttle cable by turning the adjusting screw .
Guideline
Throttle cable play 3… 5 mm (0.12… 0.2 in)
– Tighten counter nut .
9.80Checking the engine oil level
Info
The engine oil level must be checked when the engine is warm.
– Stand the motorcycle upright on a horizontal surface.

Condition
The engine is at operating temperature.
– Check the engine oil level.
Info
After switching off the engine, wait one minute before checking the level.
The engine oil must be between the lower and upper edge of the oil level viewer.
» If the engine oil level is not at the specified level:
– Add the engine oil. ( p. 152)
