2. The Manual Cocking Device - Cocking and Uncocking
The Krieghoff models PLUS, ULTRA, CLASSIC, and HUBERTUS do not have a conventional safety.
The patented “Kickspanner” manual cocking device located on the top tang where normally the safety is located, is being
used to cock both hammers of the twin hammer models PLUS, ULTRA, and CLASSIC, and the single hammer in the
HUBERTUS. The guns are off safety and ready to fire when the cocking device has been moved to its forward, cocked
position.

Cocking device in forward position (towards target) = Hammers are cocked = Off safety
Cocking device in rear position (towards gun holder) = Hammers are uncocked = On safe
Cocking of the hammers (Illus. 5a):
Push the cocking device all the way forward until it engages.
Uncocking of the hammers (Illus. 5b):
From the cocked position, push the cocking device as far forward as it goes to release it and then slide it back to the rear,
uncocked position.
