2. Use of product
2.1 Proper use
The mobile scaffolds described in this installation and user manual may only be used
according to the regulations in EN 1004 and in accordance with the model overview
under item 5.
The mobile aluminium working scaffold of the ProTec System series is a mobile scaffold
(mobile working platform).
It is classified in scaffold group 3 (capacity of 200 kg per m² of accessible platform
area). The maximum permissible load is thus 240 kg with uniformly distributed load. All
work must be carried out by standing on the platform. The scaffold may only be climbed
on the inside.
The maximum extended height is 12 m in closed rooms and 8 m outdoors.
The scaffold may only be installed on level ground with the necessary load strength. The
position of the scaffold must be checked with a spirit level for proper vertical and ho-
rizontal alignment. The maximum permissible angle of inclination is 1%. Scaffolds that
are not equipped with a height adjustment mechanism must be aligned by means of
unbreakable and nonslip chocks.
Before using the scaffold, ensure that all necessary safety measures have been taken
and that the scaffold has been properly erected according to the instructions in the ins-
tallation and user manual. If necessary, protect the scaffold from tilting by using ballasts
or outriggers.
