3 Overview The 673T is a high-performance fiber optic transmitter for 3G HD-SDI, HD-SDI, SDI, and dual-link SDI signals. The unit converts up to four channels of serial digital signals on gold-plated BNC connectors to light pulses that are transmitted over a single multimode fiber optic cable to a 673R receiver that converts them back to serial digital signals. The 673T and 673R pair has a transmission range of 1000 meters (more than 3,200ft).

4 Connecting the 673T, 673R i Warning: Always switch off the power to each device before connecting it to your 673T, 673R. After connecting your 673T, 673R, connect its power and then switch on the power to each device. Avoid direct eye exposure into the optic connectors when powered, although this product is regulated strictly enough to operate under the Laser Class 3R for eye safety. To connect the 673T and 673R, as illustrated in the example in Figure 3, do the following: 1.
