The metronome
The SP-280 is equipped with a metronome, which can be changed to a bell
sound convenient for practicing.
Turning on/off the metronome
Press the METRONOME button. The LED lights up, and the metronome
starts.
To stop the metronome, press the METRONOME button again. The LED
turns o.
Specifying the tempo
When the tempo appears in the display (default seing of 120), regardless of
whether the metronome is turned on or o, the tempo can be specied with
the UP and DOWN buons beside the display.
The seing range is

To return to the default setting, simultaneously press the UP and DOWN
buons.
Selecting the time signature
1. HolddowntheMETRONOMEbuttonuntiltheMetronomesettings
modeisentered.
The METRONOME LED blinks, and the LED for the PIANO1 sound but-
ton lights up.
In addition, the time signature appears in the display.
When the Metronome seings mode is entered, the time signature
seing normally appears.
2. ToselectthetimesignatureaerchangingotherseingsintheMetro-
nomeseingsmode,pressthePIANO1buon.
3. SelecttheseingwiththeUPorDOWNbuonbesidethedisplay.
The seing range consists of 02 (2/4), 03 (3/4), 04 (4/4) and 06 (6/4); the de-
fault seing is 04.
To return to the default seing, simultaneously press the UP and DOWN
buons.
4. PresstheMETRONOMEbuontoexittheMetronomeseingsmode.
Adjusting the metronome volume
1. HolddowntheMETRONOMEbuttonuntiltheMetronomesettings
modeisentered.
2. PressthePIANO2buon,andthevolumewillappearinthedisplay.
3. SpecifytheseingwiththeUPorDOWNbuonbesidethedisplay.
The seing range is 113; the default seing is 10.
To return to the default setting, simultaneously press the UP and
DOWN buons.
4. PresstheMETRONOMEbuontoexittheMetronomeseingsmode.
