Parts of the MA-1 and their functions
You can plug commercially-available headphones that feature a stereo mini plug
(φ3.5mm / 1/8”) into the headphones jack. If you connect headphones, the speaker
output will be muted. Use the volume dial to adjust the volume level of the speaker
or headphones.
Metronome mode
Press the power switch to turn the power on. At this time, the MA-1 enters Metro-
nome mode. To switch from Sound Out mode to Metronome mode, press any bu on
other than the / bu ons or the power switch.
Press the START/STOP bu on to start the metronome. To stop it, press the START/
STOP bu on again. In Metronome mode, you can change the tempo, beat and
rhythm of the metronome.
The power will automatically turn off if the metronome has not been used for 20 minutes.
Setting the tempo
There are three ways to set the tempo: using Pendulum Step, Full Step, and Tap Tempo.
Pendulum Step and Full Step
Pendulum Step enables you to increase or decrease the tempo by the same step as a
mechanical metronome. Full Step enables you to increase or decrease the tempo in
one BPM increments.
Press the TEMPO/TAP bu on to display the TEMPO indicator in the center area

Tap Tempo (Setting the tempo in sync with a song)
If you press the TEMPO/TAP bu on repeatedly with a specifi c BPM interval, the MA-1
will detect the interval and set the tempo accordingly. While the unit is detecting the
bpm interval, an underline will appear below the tempo indicator. The MA-1 can detect
tempo values in the range of 30 to 252. You cannot set a tempo outside this range.
Setting the beat
Press the BEAT/RHYTHM bu on until the BEAT indicator appears on the upper

Sound Out mode
If you press the SOUND/CALIB bu on in Metronome mode, the MA-1 enters Sound
Out mode. In this mode, the unit will output the reference pitch. You can use this
reference pitch for tuning. You can also specify the note name and frequency (cali-
bration) of the reference pitch in Sound Out mode.

用することができます。このときは、スピーカーから音は出ません。スピーカーまたはヘッ
ドホンの音量は、ボリュームで調整します。
メト ロ ノ ー ム・モ ー ド
電源スイッチを押して電源を入れます。このときはメトロノーム・モードに入ります。サウ
ンドアウト・モードのときに、▼スイッチ、▲スイッチ、電源スイッチ以外のスイッチを押し
ても、メト ロ ノ ー ム・モードに入ります。
メトロノームは、スタート/ストップ・スイッチを押すと動きだし、もう一度スタート/ストッ
プ・スイッチを押すと止まります。メト ロ ノ ー ム・モードでは、メト ロ ノ ー ム の テ ン ポ 、拍子、
リズムの設定が行えます。
メトロノームが停止した状態で20分経過すると、自動的に電源が切れます。
テンポの設定
テンポの設定には、ペンデュラム・ステップ、フル・ステップ、タップ・テンポ入力の
3つの方
法
があります。
ペンデュラム・ステップとフル・ステップ
機械式メトロノームと同じステップでテンポを増減させるペンデュラム・ステップと、テン
ポを1ステップずつ増減させるフル・ステップとがあります。
テンポ/タップ・スイッチを押して液晶表示の中央に“TEMPO”と表示させます。

拍子の設定
ビート/リズム・スイッチを何度か押して、液晶画面の左側に“BEAT”と表示させます。

サウンドアウト・モードでは、基準音にする音名やキャリブレーションを設定できます。
音名の設定
サウンド/キャリブ・スイッチを押して、液晶画面に“NOTE”と表示させます。

Description et fonction des éléments du MA-1
Se pueden conectar auriculares comercialmente disponibles que cuentan con un
conector mini estéreo (φ3,5mm / 1/8 “) en el conector de auriculares. Si se conectan
auriculares, la salida de altavoz será silenciada. Utilice el dial de volumen para ajustar
el nivel de volumen del altavoz o auriculares.
Modo de Metrónomo
Pulse el conmutador de encendido para encender la unidad. En este momento, el MA-1 en-
tra en modo de Metrónomo. Para cambiar de modo de salida de sonido a modo de Metró-
nomo, pulse cualquier botón distinto de los botones / o del conmutador de encendido.
Pulse el botón START/STOP para iniciar el metrónomo. Para detenerlo, presione el botón

Ajuste del Tempo
Hay tres maneras de establecer el tempo: usando Pendulum Step, Full Step, y Tap
Tempo.
Pendulum Step y Full Step
Pendulum Step permite aumentar o disminuir el Tempo con el mismo paso como en
un metrónomo mecánico. Full Step permite aumentar o disminuir el Tempo en incre-
mentos de un BPM.

Si pulsa el botón TEMPO/TAP repetidamente con un intervalo específi co de BPM, el
MA-1 detectará el intervalo y establecerá el tempo en consecuencia. Mientras que la
unidad está detectando el intervalo de bpm, un subrayado aparecerá debajo del indi-
cador de tempo. El MA-1 puede detectar valores de tempo en el rango de 30 a 252. No
puede establecer un tempo fuera de este rango.

Einstellen des Tempos

Vous pouvez brancher un casque disponible dans le commerce et doté d’une fi che mini-
jack (φ3,5mm/ 1/8”) à la prise pour casque. Quand vous branchez un casque, vous coupez le
haut-parleur. Réglez le volume du haut-parleur ou du casque avec la commande de volume.
Mode métronome
Appuyez sur l’interrupteur pour me re l’appareil sous tension. Le MA-1 est en mode
métronome. Pour passer du mode sonore au mode métronome, appuyez sur n’importe
quel bouton à l’exception des boutons / ou de l’interrupteur.
Appuyez sur le bouton START/STOP pour lancer le métronome. Appuyez de nouveau
sur le bouton START/STOP pour l’arrêter. En mode métronome, vous pouvez changer
le tempo, le nombre de temps et le rythme (la fi gure de note) du métronome.
L’alimentation est automatiquement coupée si le métronome reste inutilisé durant
environ 20 minutes.
Réglage du tempo
Vous pouvez régler le tempo de trois façons diff érentes: en mode balancier, en mode
intégral et en mode Tap Tempo.
Mode balancier et mode intégral
Le mode balancier vous permet d’augmenter et de diminuer le tempo selon les mêmes
unités qu’un métronome mécanique. Le mode intégral vous permet d’augmenter et de
diminuer le tempo par ba ements (pulsations) par minute (BPM).
Appuyez sur le bouton TEMPO/TAP pour affi cher le témoin TEMPO au centre de l’écran.

de l’intervalle, un trait apparaît sous le témoin TEMPO. Le MA-1 peut détecter des
valeurs de tempo comprises entre 30 et 252 ba ements par minute (BPM). Il est impos-
sible de régler le tempo en dehors de ce e plage.
