Effect Presets
EffectPresetsletyoueasilystoreandrecallallofthe
settingsforanindividualeffect.Youcanstoreupto16
userpresetsforeacheffecttype,inadditionto15re‐
writablefactorypresets.
Thesamepresetsappearinallofthemodes(Program,
Combination,Sequence,andSampling),andsetsof
presetscanbesav
edtoandloadedfromdisk.
Notethateditstoeffectsparametersareautomatically
storedwiththeProgram,Combination,orSong–you
don’tneedtostorethemasanEffectPreset.Presetsjust
makeiteasiertore‐useyourfavoritesettings.
Forinstance,youcansaveanEffectPresetwhile
wo
rkingonaparticularProgram,andthenlateruse
thesameEffectPresetinadifferentProgram,Combi,
orSong.
Note:Programs,Combinations,andSongssavethe
effectsparametersettings,buttheydon’tsavethe
numberoftheselectedEffectPreset.Ifyouselectan
EffectPreset,andthensav
etheProgram,theEffect
Presetsettingwillrevertto“‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐.”
Selecting Effect Presets
1. SelectaneffectintheInsertFXpage.
2. TheP00:InitialSetsettingswillberecalled.
“P(EffectPreset)”willshow‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐.
3. Use“P(EffectPreset)”toselectaneffectpreset:
P00–P15orU00–U15.
Thestoredparameterswillberecalled.Notethatthis
willoverwriteallparametersoftheeffect.
P00:InitialSet:Thesearethede
faultsettingsthatare
recalledwhenyouselectaneffecttypeintheInsertFX
page.Youcan’tsaveyourownsettingshere.
P01…P15:ThesecontainKorgpresetdata.We
recommendthatyoustoreyoursettingsinU00–U15.
U00…U15:Theseareareasinwhichyoucanstoreyour
ownset
tings.

Saving Effect Presets
Ifyou’vecomeupwithsettingsyoulikeandwantto
savethemasanewpreset,youcansavethem.
1. OntheIFX1‐12page,touchthemenubuttonto
openthepagemenu.
2. Inthemenu,selecttheWriteFXPresetcommand.
TheWriteFXPresetdialogwillappear.
3. NamethePresetasdesi
red.
4. Openthe“To”popup,andselectthePreset
numbertosaveto.
Youcansaveintoanyoftheslots,butwerecommend
thatyoustoreyoursettingsinU00–U15.
5. PressOKtosavethePreset,orCanceltoexit
withoutsaving.
